Here at GXO, we’re looking for a dynamic and analytical Planning Manager to join our ASOS contract based in Doncaster. You’ll develop and enhance our Distribution Centre’s ability to plan and forecast service levels throughout the year. This is a client-focused role that requires a deep understanding of all areas of the business, strategic thinking, and the ability to deliver innovative solutions.

 

You’ll be responsible for site planning methodology, resource optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring we stay ahead in a fast-moving logistics environment. If you love solving complex problems and influencing change, this is the role for you.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 08:30 till 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead and develop operational planning strategies to meet and exceed KPIs
  • Provide accurate daily and tactical plans across all departments
  • Manage, coach, and develop your team to ensure strong succession planning
  • Drive strategic improvements in forecasting, resource planning, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust planning models

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar position, within a fast-paced logistics/supply chain environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and challenge the status quo
  • Flexible, proactive, and commercially astute mindset
