Transport Supervisor

GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven Transport Supervisor to join us on at our Doncaster site. In this role you’ll ensure all shift activities are co-ordinated with daily & weekly tasks achieved, making best use of available resources, through the effective motivation and leadership of colleagues to continually improve performance levels and quality standards.
This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working Tuesday to Saturday, 48hr working week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- You’ll ensure the efficient running of the operation and drive operational performance through development of site systems and operational processes
 - Proactively motivating the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement;
 - To ensure the operation achieves targeted daily and weekly KPIs, through effective use of the planning / scheduling information available;
 - To ensure the department operates within the legal constraints of the sites operators license;
 - Ensure the operation complies with the Road Traffic Act;
 
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience of working within an Operations environment, covering Transport and warehouse.
 - Knowledge of computerised scheduling and driver management (FTA) an advantage.
 - Understanding of transport driver targets.
 - Experience of working within a unionised environment would be advantageous.
