GXO ServiceTech is a leading specialist in reverse logistics for electronics retailers, manufacturers and insurance providers, with multiple sites across the UK and Europe.

The Business Unit Director (Benelux) is responsible for service and operations across the Benelux for GXO ServiceTech. You will report to all the operational heads of the business units in this area. You are based on-site at a GXO ServiceTech location in Dordrecht.
 

Your key customers are leading suppliers, manufacturers and retailers of Consumer Electronics (including white goods, brown goods, water and air and small domestic appliances).

Focus will be on ensuring smooth operations, optimizing reverse logistics processes for these key customers, and managing teams to meet customer expectations in terms of service quality and efficiency.


What you do on a typical day 

  • Reporting to the Managing Director for GXO ServiceTech
  • Driving business, with a focus on account management and leadership
  • Responsible for profit and loss accountability for the operations and efficiency improvement strategy
  • Accountable for delivering KPIs / customer service levels
  • Ensure full Health and Safety compliance and promotion of a safe working environment together with our QESH management
  • Ability to integrate corporate structure into the business
  • Support and lead operational project teams
  • Supporting the business strategy in Continental Europe
  • Expansion of the on-site / in-home network across Europe
  • Presentation of key performance metrics to the Board along with improvement plans
  • Management of the senior team
  • Leading a team of up to 6 direct reports, indirect of 160-180 approx. employees
  • Drive productivity and profit improvement measures
  • Liaise with customers and help ensure continued relationship management and enhanced services


What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Experienced for a minimum of 10 years in the Consumer Electronics and/or Home Appliance Service Industry
  • Experience managing in-home technicians
  • Proven results in driving a business forward, having a hands-on approach
  • Knowledge of working with warranty claims and the processes around this
  • Experience in managing large projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (verbal and written)
  • People management skills, including coaching and leadership
  • Willing to travel throughout Europe to visit our sites and customers
