Class 1 Driver

We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our GXO team based at Draycott-in-the-Clay. You will be working an average of 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please be advised nights out are mandatory for this role.

• An hourly rate of £14.52 with paid overtime of £19.31 after 48 hours (breaks are paid)
• Sundays are paid £20.00 per hour (exclusive of the 48 hours)
• An additional payment of 12% on basic hourly rate per hour is made during the hours of 22:00-06:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Delivering palletised goods to customer locations across the UK
• Loading and unloading via the curtains or loading bay (you may occasionally need to move pallets with a pump truck)
• Always ensuring the safe and legal operation of your vehicle, guaranteeing the vehicle has been loaded correctly prior to leaving site
• Reporting any issues regarding delivery or vehicle/trailer defects to the transport office
• Our fleet consists of 2024 MAN TGX520 XXL (you will be assigned with your own vehicle that has under bunk fridges, invertors and a microwave fitted already)

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
