We are growing our Central European Business Development team with main focus on Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Romania. The key purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to generate new business opportunities across multiple industry sectors. We are seeking for a passionate individual with expertise in influential networking and prospecting. 

 

We offer a fully remote work across Germany as well as an opportunity to be based in one of our offices (Düsseldorf or Dormagen).

 

What does your day look like in a role of our Business Development Manager:

  • Initiating new, leveraging existing and developing strong business relationships that lead to a pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Leveraging various sales channels to prospect, including existing relationships, external events and networking
  • Delivering personal business targets, contributing to overall new business growth
  • Supporting the development of bid responses, case studies, customer testimonials, past performance, accreditations and marketing collateral with content and messaging that is focused on customer needs 
  • Managing prospects/customer enquiries, including opportunity assessment Q&A’s, customer updates etc.
  • Attending customer briefings and/or arranging the attendees for any customer meetings, preparing high quality presentation materials

 

What do you need to be successful:

  • Excellent understanding of logistics industry 
  • Broad network across Europe
  • Ability to nurture and develop relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Proven track record of lead generation, project management and project qualification as well as delivering new business sales
  • Experience in creating and presenting solutions and commercial proposals 
  • Motivation to work with existing clients to find extra opportunities and lead continuous improvement projects 
  • Good commercial awareness including finance and negotiation skills
  • Effective communication skills, team spirit, pro-active and forward-thinking approach
  • Advanced level of German and English 
  • Ambition to grow within GXO Logistics (development opportunities available)
