Class 2 Driver

Here at GXO we are offering the opportunity for highly experienced Class 2 Lorry Drivers to join our delivery team out of our Dunstable distribution centre for a large retail client.
You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40.25 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Start times between 02:00 and 07:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Ensure accurate, timely, and safe delivery of customer products, including multi-drop deliveries within agreed delivery windows
- Delivering totes to retail locations, offload goods correctly, complete signed paperwork, and collect any agreed returns or waste
- Follow all safe working practices, including correctly securing loads to minimise damage and always ensure safety
- Provide excellent customer service, report vehicle defects to the Transport Office, and attend required training to fulfil the driver role effectively
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A full valid UK CATEGORY Class 2 licence, with valid digital tachograph card and driver CPC
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
- Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
- Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
- Must have a good geographical knowledge, experience of driving in London is preferred
