As a Business Unit IT Lead in our team you will be accountable for overseeing all IT matters for a respective Business Unit from future planning to follow-up on patterns in daily matters. In addition, you will be driving commercial and business development activities in tenders and customer-facing activities.
What you do on a typical day
- Act as an IT Business Partner for respective Business Units – keep oversight of IT matters for respective entities
- Lead IT business development activities, including the delivery of RFQ/tender response and related solution proposition including cost estimates in relation to business case
- Work with business on creation and conceptualization of new ideas, projects, plans and initiatives. Translate these into required IT solutions
- Manage IT representation in front of customers and business
- Monitor emerging and market trends; inject innovation into business areas
- Build optimal working relationship with customers and business entities
- Drive organizational change in line with strategy. Co-drive IT Management Team agenda and Business IT Lead agenda
- Contribute to IT product management

What you need to succeed at GXO
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, business or a comparable discipline
- Good knowledge of WMS systems at conceptual functional level
- Minimum of 7 years’ management experience in a complex, high demanding and fast-paced international environment, preferably in Supply Chain industry
- Excellent knowledge in English language, oral and written. Dutch language skills preferred.
