As our head of workforce management, you’ll take full ownership of leading our workforce management team our full workforce management lifecycle from forecasting, planning to scheduling whilst making GXO’s contingent workforce ‘future ready’ via various projects that you will initiate, drive and roll-out.

What you do on a typical day 

As our head of workforce, you will have full responsibility of our contingent workforce (6000-9000 FTE). You will oversee, lead and direct our BeNe & Nordics workforce-team (35 FTE). Whilst you maintain our partnerships between our external suppliers. Being one team, workforce pool management and making our WFM organization ‘future ready’ is where you thrive. Key Responsibilities

  • Understand strategic business goals and driving your WFM team to tackle short-term peaks, as well as driving mid- and long-term strategic projects via a programmatic approach
  • Manage the full lifecycle of our contingent workforce focusing across our BeNe region
  • Build strong relationships with our business leaders to maneuver workforce management in a way that is both beneficial for GXO strategic goals, as well as being able to tackle our short-term needs
  • You drive various contingent workforce related projects and process improvements (e.g. implementing planning tools, anticipating on future contingent workforce changes in law/legislation and auditing supplier housing)
  • Deliver valuable insights via a variety of dashboards and reports on on/offboarding, headcount, spend, tenure, and supplier performance

 

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree with at least 7 year of relevant contingent workforce management experience at either supplier and/or corporate environment
  • Experience managing a significant workforce with proven expertise in the full workforce lifecycle (forecasting, planning, scheduling)
  • A strong analytics and data driven mindset to compliment your strategic way of thinking
  • Excellent communicational and interpersonal skills (verbal and written in English)
  • With your proven leadership, you motivate teams in our ever changing, complex and very dynamic organization
