Project Business Controller

Logistics at full potential

 

Are you a Business Controller who loves getting involved with project work and adapting to different challenges, where no 2 days are the same?

 

You will be pivotal to our business, and will cover across our Netherlands and Belgium locations.  You will be working on centralised projects, improvement programs and new business implementations.  You will have experience preferably within Contracts Logistics?

 

  • You will join our HQ finance team based in Eindhoven
  • Travel will be required 2/3 days a week adapting to business needs on location
  • Fluency in Dutch/Flemish and English is required, verbal and written
  • Monday to Friday working

 

What you do on a typical day as a Project Business Controller

  • Dealing with Centralised projects
  • Working across all sites in Netherlands and Belgium assisting where required
  • Implementing of new businesses and customer requirements
  • Ability to monitor and report financials and operational performances
  • Measure and communicate results on key leavers effectively within the business unit
  • Align and build partnerships across functional areas to raise awareness of financial performance and promote communication
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes to influence stakeholders
  • Early identification of operational opportunities and make recommendations
  • Investigate variations and effect on operations
  • Profit improvement plans

 

What you need to succeed at GXO as a Business Unit Controller

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiation
  • Degree (Master’s / Bachelors), preferably in economics or similar
  • A demonstrable track record gained in a financial/business analyst environment/role
  • Detail oriented with superior analytical skills
  • Familiarity with financial principles and concepts
  • Utilisation of data through various BI systems
  • Fluent in English and Dutch/Flemish
