Do you have experience as a Team Leader within logistics? Are you passionate about motivating your team to perform at their best and ensuring top-notch service levels? If you’re ready to lead and make a difference, we have the perfect role for you at our amazing Eindhoven 2 site!  As a Team Leader, you’ll oversee all logistics processes within the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and excellence in daily operations.

 

This really is a hands on role where you can ensure a slick and robust process to ensure customer satisfaction!

 

What do you do on a typical day?

  • Manages team performance continually; develops associates by providing training and coaching. Responsible to meet all operational KPI’s
  • Assigns duties and monitors work completion for accuracy
  • Maintains a safe work environment and fosters a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required
  • Lead start-up activities with cross functional teams
  • Responsible to make recommendations regarding hiring, terminating, performance evaluations, and promotions
  • Daily interaction with internal and external customer on operational level
  • Personnel scheduling to support all shifts and accounts, plan and organize staff workload
  • Maintain documentation of processes that are followed by the department
  • Train associates so an up to date understanding of processes, policies and procedures are maintained
  • Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water, and fuel consumption

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • You have knowledge of logistics processes and see where improvements can be applied
  • You are familiar with the MS Office package and WMS functionality
  • You have intermediate vocational education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a managerial position
  • LEAN Warehousing knowledge is desirable
  • Strong communication skills in English is essential, with Dutch an advantage
  • Be self-driven and resilient with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills
