What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Complete customer orders for embroidery, engraving or monogramming
  • Perform general maintenance such as applying lubrication/oil and wiping rails as required when prompted on screen
  • Mount sewing machine attachments like needles, thread, pattern plates or cutting blades, and adjust machine guides according to specifications
  • Monitor product quality of the sewing operation to spot problems such as defective stitching, thread breaks or machine malfunctions
  • Inspect for various types of defects or damage, and mark errors as necessary
  • Separate quality-accepted finished garments for packaging
  • Follow all safety guidelines and work instructions

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Ability to measure using a ruler for proper placement of stitching
  • Ability to be cross-trained to operate different style sewing machines  
  • Ability to speak, read (fine print) and write in English, follow verbal and written directions, write simple correspondence and effectively communicate with others
