Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Chef to join our team at Iceland Food warehouse based in Enfield. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 15:00 to 21:00 & Sunday covering the hours of 17:30-19:30

 

As a Chef, you will work as part of a team to prepare, produce, present and service menu items required for service users ensuring a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Health and Safety working practices and Food Hygiene Regulations. You will give direction to the Catering Assistants in the preparation of menu items.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Produce and service planned menus as allocated by Head chef
  • Housekeeping and hygiene tasks as required by HACCAP food safety policy
  • Ensure highest standards of customer service through training and support to the front of house team
  • Completion of any food safety documentation as required

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a similar role
  • An understanding of food safety standards (HACCAP)
  • Flexible in your approach – there may be an opportunity for overtime!
  • Excellent customer service skills
