Transport Compliance First Line Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Transport Compliance First Line Manager to join our team in Enfield, supporting our customer Iceland. You will be reporting into the Transport Operations Manager and oversee all fleet compliance across the Enfield location while ensuring excellence in vehicle maintenance, operational efficiency and compliance with all relevant legal and safety regulations.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 from 7 shift pattern, 09:00 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £37,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Oversee vehicle packs to ensure information is accurate and current, maintain packs with relevant and new information
  • Ensure that the fleet is inspected in line with the undertakings of the Company Operator License
  • Review of repair and maintenance tasks to make sure they are carried out in the most cost effective manner
  • Support the Transport Manager with fleet management, i.e., vehicle maintenance, EU drivers’ hours legislation, tachograph and data processing

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast moving environment and planning and organising skills within a warehouse operation
  • Support and encourage a good team working spirit and ensure that the Transport Team work effectively and communicate frequently to achieve the business objectives
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and coach teams to ensure excellent performance
