Are you currently working as a driving assessor? Do you want to support the company QHSE focus by conducting safety observations of crews and operations at nominated stores and customer locations? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

 

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an Area Operational Trainer to support the Learning and Development Team in a mobile capacity across the nominated region(s), Farnborough being the central point for all sites covered, in the fulfillment of their role as well as the business in delivering nominated training sessions and driver assessment tasks.

 

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, where you’ll be working Monday – Friday, between the hours of 07:00-16:00, with some flexibility required. You will have access to a company van to cover all company mileage, due to the nature of this role there may be occasional overnight stays required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Covering inductions to support the site as and when required, working with the site Operational Leaders to ensure training is provided, and is kept up to date, across all shifts
  • Support Senior Driver / Buddy with delivery of SOP - Review use of weekly paperwork to ensure correct version of paperwork is being used and populated correctly.  Educate colleagues as needed and escalate issues to the Learning & Development team, if needed
  • Travel (Company vehicle provided & accommodation for overnight stays) in order to arrive at store locations at start of shift to ensure minimum operational impact
  • Liaise with the training department and AOM to plan and deliver the annual SSOW training programme
  • After appropriate training, support the delivery of D&A (drugs & alcohol) testing program across the business

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Professional Presentation Skills 
  • LGV Driver licence (Cat C) essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Lorry Loader preferred however not essential
  • Computer literate
