Compliance Specialist

Join us as a Compliance Specialist, where you’ll be responsible for supporting our Transport and Fleet Compliance functions across our South Region (predominately Greenford) and Avonmouth. Working closely with our Fleet Compliance Manager/Transport managers, you’ll ensure the fleet, drivers and site activities remain legally compliance, safe and aligned to our operational excellence.
This opportunity is a full time, permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday on a shift pattern of (06:00 to 14:00, 08:00 to 16:00 and 09:00 to 17:00), based in Greenford.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Maintain full legal and company compliance across all vehicles, trailers, fleet assets and related documentation, including PMIs, MOTs, LOLER, tachograph calibrations and service schedules
- Monitor, record and manage fleet performance and safety, covering defects, repairs, tyre checks, workshop updates, WTD metrics, incident investigations and corrective actions
- Oversee all tachograph and driver compliance, including driver card and vehicle unit downloads, infringement monitoring and accurate data maintenance
- Produce accurate, timely reporting—daily, weekly and monthly compliance dashboards—while ensuring data quality, system hygiene and effective tracking of R&M spend, POs and supplier performance
- Support safe and compliant site operations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and adapt to fast‑paced operational changes while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Confident with MS Office and data management, demonstrating accuracy in compliance record‑keeping and a collaborative approach to working with multiple stakeholders and team members
- Previous experience in transport, fleet or compliance environments considered desirable
