H&S Manager

We're looking for an experienced H&S Manager to lead all health, safety and compliance activities across a complex food and beverage distribution operation for our Greene King site in Greenford. Supporting warehouse, transport and support functions, you'll play a key role in developing a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with operational leaders, colleagues, unions and external bodies to ensure safety remains at the heart of everything we do.
This is a full time, permanent, position working Monday to Friday 07:30-15:30 or 08:00 -16:00, some flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead all health and safety activities across warehousing, transport and support functions
- Manage risk assessments, safe systems of work, accident investigations and RIDDOR reporting
- Deliver audits, compliance reviews and improvement plans, including support for BRC standards
- Produce and present KPI reports, trends and recommendations to senior leadership teams
- Coach and support managers and colleagues to continuously improve safety performance and engagement
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivilant as a minimum qualification
- Strong experience in health and safety management within logistics, distribution, warehousing or a similar operational environment
- Experience conducting investigations, risk assessments, audits and driving corrective actions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including Unions, the local EHO and the Environment Agency
