HR Administrator

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a HR Coordinator (12 month FTC) to join our Greenford team, supporting our customer, Waitrose.  You will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the HR function by managing a wide range of administrative tasks and providing timely support on HR-related matters. This role plays a key part in delivering a consistent, efficient, and people-focused HR service. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting others, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in their work.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 predominately, but there is a requirement to be flexible on occasion as the site runs from 06:00 to 23:00, 7 days a week.

 

Pay, benefits and more:

 

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,000, and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, including right-to-work checks, contracts, and HR system updates in line with GDPR
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, from offer preparation to onboarding and induction
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, while supporting compliance, health & safety, and note-taking for HR meetings
  • Manage key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, leavers processing, and supporting wellbeing and engagement initiatives

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within HR
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using HR systems
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion
