Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager to join our team in Greenford on our Greene King contract. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of the transport operation while, managing a small team of direct reports and managing the HR processes.

 

The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work on a 5 out of 7 shifts, rotating on AM (04:00-12:00) and PM (12:00-20:00) shift pattern, though some flexibility may be required during peak times.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Manage resourcing, GXO driver recruitment and booking of agency drivers
  • Manage all warehouse operations and any issues relating to loading and planning
  • Support the Senior Transport Shift Manager with regular communication
  • Liaise with the planning team to ensure effective planning and utilisation of the fleet

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience of managing drivers and running shifts in a medium/large transport operation
  • Excellent transport knowledge of up to date legislations 
  • International CPC would be desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience of managing direct reports including all relevant people and HR processes
