Warehouse First Line Manager (Nights)

We’re looking for a proactive Warehouse First Line Manager (Nights) to join in our Customer Fulfilment Centre for Waitrose. Managing the day-to-day Warehouse operations efficiently and effectively to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service to the customer. You will lead an allocated team of Warehouse Colleagues through actively demonstrating the behaviour and engagement standards required to make our customers business better every day.
This is a full-time, permanent position and the hours are 22:00 to 06:00 and any 5 from 7.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £39,007 per annum + night shift premium of £3,000, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Champion a safety-first culture by implementing safety and near-miss processes across the team
- Lead and motivate your team to exceed performance objectives through effective resource planning and KPI management (cost, quality, service)
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing performance, solving problems, and delivering a flexible, multi-skilled team focused on customer satisfaction
- Communicate and manage effectively, including regular reviews, performance improvement plans, and handling disciplinary and grievance processes in line with company policy
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven leadership in fast-paced FMCG warehouse operations with strong planning and people management skills
- Knowledge of WMS and ability to analyse data to drive improvements
- Excellent communicator, confident in managing disciplinary and grievance processes
- Customer-focused, adaptable, and driven to exceed expectations in a changing environment
