Warehouse Operative

GXO is continuing to grow, and we are excited to be expanding our team of Warehouse Operatives in the Greenford area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, supportive operation where teamwork, quality, and reliability are key.

 

Our People Campus team supports multiple warehouse operations across the Greenford area, including sites for Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Micheldever, and Greene King. 

 

This is a permanent role that offers a truly flexible approach to working. While the position requires flexibility, such as working across different sites to support business needs, we are equally committed to supporting your flexibility in return. We offer a range of flexible working patterns to suit individual lifestyles, with opportunities to work between 22.5 and 40 hours per week. For those currently studying, we can accommodate a reduced minimum of 15 hours per week.

 

Shift start times are 00:00 and 14:00, working across Friday to Monday or Thursday to Monday.

 

Whether you already have warehouse experience or are looking to start a new career, full training will be provided.

Pay, benefits and more:

  • Hourly rate: £12.71
  • Unsociable hours premium of £2.10 per hour for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00

What you will do on a typical day:

 

  • Picking, handling stock accurately and efficiently
  • Work safely as part of a team, following Health & Safety procedures
  • Operate basic warehouse and mechanical handling equipment safely
  • Support warehouse efficiency through general housekeeping duties

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Able to work well in a team and follow instructions.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and flexible in approach to work
  • Capable of reading instructions and counting accurately
  • Physically able to handle stock and use equipment safely
  • Previous warehouse experience or forklift licence is desirable but not essential
