As VP of Transformation, you will be the architect and driver of GXO’s global transformation agenda. This role is pivotal in aligning strategic ambition with operational execution to deliver GXO’s long-term vision. You will lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, orchestrating cross-functional and cross-regional efforts to reshape our operating model, accelerate performance, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

 

This role is responsible for overseeing and driving transformational programs across the organization. As the lead for critical large enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, you will effectively drive programs holistically to ensure successful execution measured by the financial and operational KPIs to be defined.

 

Prefer candidate to be based in GXO facility in Greenwich, CT or High Point, NC.

Role requires 35%-40% global travel. 

 

This role reports directly to the Chief Transformation and Operations Performance Officer and plays a pivotal role in shaping GXO’s future operating model.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Enterprise-Wide Transformation

  • Design and execute GXO’s transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and financial goals.
  • Oversee the Transformation Program Office, managing a portfolio of initiatives with clear targets, scope, and outcomes.
  • Drive on-time, on-budget, and on-scope delivery of critical programs.
  • Build and implement governance frameworks and best-in-class methodologies to ensure consistency and accountability.

2. Drive Strategic Execution

  • Translate strategy into actionable plans with clear KPIs, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Identify interdependencies and synergies across initiatives to maximize impact.
  • Lead high-impact projects that integrate business, operational, and digital transformation.

3. Optimize Operating Model & Performance

  • Partner with senior leaders to define and implement new operating models and organizational designs.
  • Lead opportunity assessments to identify cost, efficiency, and scalability levers.
  • Foster Innovation insights to drive improvements where possible.

4. Champion Change & Culture

  • Build a high-performing, cross-functional transformation team with global reach.
  • Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and accountability.
  • Lead change management and communication strategies to ensure adoption and engagement across all levels.

5. Engage Stakeholders & Influence Outcomes

  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Build compelling business cases and communicate transformation progress through data-driven storytelling.
  • Be a GXO transformation thought leader.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

Experience:

  • 15+ years in senior transformation roles, ideally in global, blue-chip, or consulting environments.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-wide transformation and optimization programs.
  • Experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain is a strong advantage.

Education / Certification:

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, or STEM; MBA preferred.
  • Certifications in program or change management are a plus Understanding and ability to work in fast paced, customer focus, service oriented and low margin environment.
