Inbound Planner
Logistics at full potential
Are you the right person to lead our inbound planning process at our cutting-edge, semi-automated 60,000 m² site? We need someone who can develop, coordinate, and execute a robust inbound plan—one that closely aligns with our customer’s standards, supplier forecasts, and the weekly volume planning of our operations team.
What will you do on a typical day?
- Collaborate with the customer to ensure adherence to inbound compliance standards and procedures
- Work with suppliers to align forecasting and inbound shipment schedules
- Coordinate with the operational team to manage volume and plan inbound activities for the week
- Develop and implement an inbound scheduling plan based on customer requirements and operational needs
- Monitor inbound performance metrics and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Propose and implement process enhancements to streamline operations
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and the customer to ensure smooth inbound operations
- Maintain accurate inbound planning data and generate regular reports to support decision-making
- Adjust plans to accommodate changes in shipment volume and operational priorities, ensuring effective management in a 24/7 environment
- Create and monitor supplier performance dashboard/metrics
What you need to succeed at GXO
- At least Bachelor’s degree, preferred master degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field
- You have at least 3 years of experience in planning or forwarding
- You are easy to talk to, and speak fluently English (speaking Dutch is nice to have but not mandatory)
- You have experience with Inbound/transport suppliers
- You can prepare proper communication to lead the compliance Team and prepare reports to Supplier
