What you do on a typical day
For this role, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just follow processes—they shape them. You’ll play a key part in developing, standardizing, optimizing, and safeguarding business processes across the organization. In return, we give you trust, freedom, and the space to take ownership. Your tasks include:
- Implementing local quality, environmental, safety and working conditions procedures
- Engaging site population on QESH related topics
- Advising operational management, other local staff services and the customer regarding compliance, change management, continuous improvement
- Maintenance and improvement regarding the follow-up of the established QESH management systems through auditing and spot checks
- Driving occupational Safety risk mapping and compliance process (RI&E)
- Carrying out periodic risk inventories with associated analyses
- Managing the Safety committee process
- Driving internal system and compliance assessments and audits
- Guidance of external auditors of customers, certification bodies and the competent authority (ArbeidsInspectie, Omgevingsdienst)
- Drafting data-based recommendations
- Conduct an incident investigation and complete incident reports
What you need to succeed at GXO
- HBO thinking and working level
- Knowledgeable on applicable Legislation (occupational safety, machine safety)
- Preference: MVK / NIOSH / alike educated
- 5-year experience in QESH role, preferably in large process operations (logistics, manufacturing)
- Understanding QESH management systems, e.g. ISO
- Affinity with automation
- Team player, active with colleagues in multiple disciplines
- Fluent in English, Dutch is desirable
- Careful, decisive, customer-friendly, communicatively strong, independent, tenacious, and stress-resistant
- Hands-on, energetic, eager/drive
