As the Lead Architect, Financial Systems, you will be responsible for the ongoing support of Oracle Project Accounting, provide recommendations for system design and/or corrective actions, perform testing of software updates and ensure timely resolution of problems within the application. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide Oracle Applications functional expertise, specifically within the projects and fixed asset modules with configurations, enhancements, upgrades, testing and post-production support including additional experience in supporting financials
- Own and lead the PPM related functional elements of the overall solution, acting as the single point of contact for the PPM workstream and leading the solutioning of Oracle ERP Cloud
- Act as GXO’s thought leader on Oracle ERP Cloud solutioning in the PPM domain, challenging the implementation partner where required so that GXO has a best-in-class solution
- Act as the single point of contact and co-ordinate application troubleshooting with end users and other internal teams / 3rd parties, ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained to resolve the fault and incident within the prescribed SLAs
- Proactively propose solutions to issues or enhancements to processing and reporting for Oracle Projects
- Document business requirements, design solutions for development and other enhancements, and lead the testing of all developed items for migration to the production instance
- Initiate proposing solutions; follow through on identified issues
- Lead the implementation of solutions to enhance reporting
- Work with end users through requirements, design, testing and implementations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent related work or military experience
- Oracle EBS R12 & Oracle Cloud experience, specifically the Projects Accounting module
- Strong experience in the deployment and support of Oracle ERP Cloud PPM modules with multiple full lifecycle programs and ongoing support
- Experience of configuration of Oracle ERP Cloud, specifically PPM modules, as well as OTBI or other reporting tools
- Exposure to working in a SOX compliant environment, as well as managing a demand pipeline of projects and BAU enhancements
- 6 years of relevant work experience
- Full understanding of project accounting, general ledger accounting and subledger accounting
- Fundamental technical skills which include a basic understanding of the underlying SQL code, tables and forms and how they are connected

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate issues, concerns and solutions
- A clear understanding of the cross-functional impact of all Oracle modules integrated with projects
- Ability to work independently, schedule time efficiently and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
