Warehouse Team Leader

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our GXO Direct operation supporting Jellycat in Swadlincote. In this role, you’ll lead a team of operatives across key warehouse functions including picking, packing, goods‑in and despatch ensuring accuracy, safety, and exceptional service for our customer.
This is a full‑time, permanent role, working a 5 on 2 off rotating shift pattern (05:30–14:00 / 13:30–22:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and support a team of operatives across multiple warehouse work streams
- Act as the first point of escalation for process, operational or staffing issues
- Coordinate daily tasks, balancing priorities across picking, packing, goods‑in and despatch
- Monitor KPIs, support performance improvement, and maintain high service levels
- Ensure H&S, quality, security and site procedures are consistently followed

- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced operation and adapt to changing priorities
- Confidence in leading, motivating and supporting teams
- Good numeracy, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of Health & Safety principles and warehouse best practice
