As the Senior Accountant, Revenue, you will perform and analyze revenue accounting activities for domestic and international operations in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. You will support the monthly and quarterly close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, perform contract and revenue analysis, and execute Oracle Fusion project accounting and billing activities. You will partner with Revenue Accounting leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues, strengthen controls, and improve processes. 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process by preparing revenue-related journal entries, accruals, reserves, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and analyze recurring revenue accounting activities, including customer- and contract-related accruals, adjustments, and related documentation.
• Prepare and/or review assigned account reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and support timely resolution of outstanding balances.
• Prepare reserve analyses and related supporting schedules in accordance with company policies and management review requirements.
• Partner cross functionally to analyze revenue results, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations for material or unusual activity.
• Run and analyze Oracle Fusion reports supporting revenue, project accounting, billing, accounts receivable, cash receipts, invoices, and general ledger activity.
• Prepare selected quarterly account roll-forwards and supporting schedules.
• Support customer contract reviews and implement accounting conclusions, including considerations under ASC 606.
• Execute assigned internal controls, retain audit-ready support, and assist with SOX, internal audit, and external audit requests.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis to support Revenue Accounting leadership and other cross functional stakeholders.
• Other duties, as assigned.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2 years of accounting experience, including familiarity with ASC 606, preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm
• Experience with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel capabilities
• Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI
• Ability to execute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment by demonstrating organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
• High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others

It’d be great if you also have:

• Master’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification

• 3 or more years of accounting, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm 
• Experience working in a medium-to-large, multinational company, preferably with experience with Oracle Fusion, BlackLine, Microsoft Copilot, or comparable accounting tools.
