As the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will manage the development and implementation of the company’s internal communications strategy, as well as oversee tactics, channels and tools required to increase employee engagement and drive business results across our Americas and Asia Pacific business.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Execution: Help execute the AmAPAC internal communications strategy as outlined by the Director and Vice President of Marketing & Communications. Activities should be aligned with global and regional internal business plans and seek to inspire, inform and align our colleagues with the organization’s objectives, values and culture.
- Content creation: Create and curate content, including newsletters, emails, flyers, intranet posts, posters, and presentations to inform and inspire colleagues, generating material that reinforces the businesses priorities, announcements, and new developments, and supports our culture.
- Leadership communications: Support and collaborate with AmAPAC business leaders to ensure consistent messaging and effective communications with colleagues.
- Employee engagement: Support AmAPAC departments (HR, Finance, Operations, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging and effective engagement plans that are aligned to the wider internal communications strategy and effective at all levels of the organization.
- Change management and transformation: Assist business unit leaders driving change and transformation with messaging support and access to internal communications channels where required.
- Branding, Photo and Video: Support the development of branded elements including videos, photography, posters, etc. by working alongside the AmAPAC creative team
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of experience with internal employee communications
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Superior writing, editing and communication skills
- Internal communications expertise, able to identify the most appropriate and effective internal communications techniques for use according to our objectives
It’d be great if you also have:
- 7 years of Communications experience or marketing
- Meaningful experience with employee engagement and HR communications
- Knowledge of style guides, such as Chicago Style or Associated Press Style
- A penchant for storytelling and shining a light on unsung heroes within an organization
- Multi-media background, or at least the ability to help make smart edits in video, audio, etc.
- Good executive presence and confidence to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the business.
