Transport Team Manager (Nights) 6 Month FTC

If so, join us as our Transport Team Manager on a 6 Month FTC!
As our Transport Team Manager (6 Month FTC), you will be joining our large operation in our Dartford depot, for our customer Sainsburys and reporting into Transport Shift Manager.
This is a full time, 6 Month FTC opportunity. Working 4 on 4 off, on a shift pattern of 18:00 to 06:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £42,700 per annum, and 23.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Keep operations safe, compliant, and running smoothly, taking ownership of Health & Safety, accident investigations, defects, and legal compliance
- Be the go‑to problem solver on shift, resolving operational issues, covering key desks, and stepping into shift management when needed
- Support, manage, and develop people, from drivers and clerical colleagues
- Control performance and costs, managing hours, running reports, tracking compliance, and driving continuous improvement
- Be the communication hub, handling queries, supporting customers and depots, coordinating stakeholders, and keeping the business informed
