Transport Administrator

Here at GXO, we are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our team in Thrapston, Kettering supporting our customer, Primark. Reporting to the Transport Team Manager, you will be responsible for general administration duties in-line with Transport legislations, company policy and procedure.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 from 7, consisting of the hours of 22:00 till 06:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,500.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Assisting the Transport Team Manager with general administration duties in-line with Transport legislation, company policy and procedures 
  • Ensuring good standards of Health and Safety processes are followed by yourself and the team
  • Regular communication with the planning department of any delays / lateness / issues  
  • Primary point of contact for customer enquiries / changes to schedule, ensuring these are logged accurately

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • To be able to effectively communicate with customer, suppliers and colleagues
  • Must have a flexible approach and be willing to carry out varied tasks positively, reliably and accurately
  • An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions 
  • A background in logistics is preferred, although full training will be given
