Transport Team Leader

We’re looking for a proactive Transport Team Leader who can keep our transport operation running smoothly, ensure compliance, and drive team performance. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love problem-solving, and have a passion for motivating people, this role is for you.
This is a full time, permanent position where shifts are any 5 from 7 and various shifts between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £35,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead daily transport operations, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.
- Drive compliance with all administrative, legislative, and security requirements.
- Collaborate across departments to prevent delays and keep customers informed.
- Manage and motivate teams, including drivers and admin staff, through coaching and development.
- Oversee performance and safety, from tachograph records to accident investigations and vehicle defect management.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Detail-driven and organised, with strong prioritisation skills and accuracy in all tasks.
- Experienced in transport or fast-paced operations, with solid knowledge of EU regulations and drivers’ working time directives.
- Excellent communicator and problem-solver, confident engaging at all levels and working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, with strong MS Office skills and familiarity with transport systems (advantageous).
