JOB DUTIES: Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Design, plan, and implement automation solutions, including equipment specifications. Source and select conveyors, sorters, and scanners. Conduct root cause analysis of inefficiencies. Analyze operational data, pareto, time studies, simulations, and discuss with leadership. Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product envelope, flow, and transportation methods. Create layouts requirements. Specify material handling and storage equipment solutions. Determine personnel requirements for automation, including identifying management, supervisory, and special skills needs based on activity levels and product profile. Configure production system settings, collaborating with IT team. Configure table data, location logic, strategies, commodity data, and system flags for functionality. Specify packing methods and materials. Based on transportation mode/method and product profile, specify containers, packing medium, and labeling/documentation requirements, as well as providing cost estimates. Develop time studies. Estimate process documentation time, conversion of existing processes, development, testing, and implementation of new processes. Publish start-up plans with milestones and responsibilities. Eligible for telecommuting from home within reasonable commuting distance from Perris, CA.
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience in Industrial, Mechanical or related engineering field.
Experience must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
1. Six Sigma practices and principles;
2. Minitab and Six Sigma analysis tools;
3. Diverters, spirals, and conveyors;
4. High-volume operations in a distribution- or manufacturing-related environment;
5. Lean methodology;
6. AutoCAD, including Simulation, 3D Modeling, and drawings; and
7. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, PowerPoint presentations, transitions, and SmartArt, and Microsoft Project Gantt Charts and Process Flows
Must possess Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
SALARY: $ 121,472 /year
