What you do on a typical day
• Control and monitor the logistics of the Distribution Hub flow. Manage the totality of the systems, from the entry of goods from the supplier to the exit for transport to the store, depending on the orders of the commercial department
• Control the physical movement of the packages and the correct transit of the information associated with them in the different management systems
• Solve problems associated with goods traffic (package routing, mechanical problems, etc.) or information (deficiency transmission of information, corrupt data, etc.)
• Prepare reports and statistics for production control
• Participate in tests for the implementation of new systems (start-up, development tests) or modification of existing ones
• Analyse and define proposals for productivity improvement of the automatic Sorter and Silo
• Coordination with Operations team
What you need to succeed at GXO
• Bachelor’s degree/HBO in related fields or engineering will be preferable
• Pro-active, motivated and stress resistant
• Min 2 years of experience in the Logistic sector
• Excellent knowledge of WMS systems at the configuration level and logistical warehouse processes
• Preferably with knowledge or experience in Automatic Sorting Systems for orders/purchase preparation
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, thinks in processes and improvements
• You have excellent knowledge of the English language, spoken and written
• Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage
• MS Office. Indispensable advanced level of Microsoft Excel and Access
• Sorter, Logistics Engineering, Automated Warehouse, Production Planning
• Making analysis based on large data sheets and making conclusions and decisions based on the data
• Preferably with Advanced level of visual basic
• Flexibility, proactiveness and initiative
• Clear and direct communication skills, able to translate mechanical and systematic problems to higher management in an understandable way
