Warehouse Manager
Warehouse Manager – Lelystad Platform
Lead the Future of Logistics at GXO
As GXO continues to expand one of the Netherlands’ largest and most advanced logistics hubs in Lelystad, we’re looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead a key part of the operation. In this role, you’ll drive performance, lead high-performing teams, and keep operations running safely and efficiently while meeting customer expectations.
You’ll join a fast-growing, high-volume environment where strong leadership and continuous improvement make the difference. With the scale and growth of the site, there are clear opportunities to develop your career. If you’re ready to take ownership and make an impact, this is your opportunity.
What your week looks like as a Warehouse Manager
As a Warehouse Manager, you’ll take ownership of the weekly operation—planning workloads, setting priorities, and ensuring delivery against KPIs and performance targets. You’ll lead and develop Coordinators, building a high-performing, engaged team on the floor.
You’ll monitor performance closely, using data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement through LEAN principles and GXO Warehousing System practices. At the same time, you’ll ensure the right staffing, shift support, and coordination are in place to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Safety will always come first. You’ll champion a strong safety culture while ensuring full compliance with legal and company standards. Alongside this, you’ll maintain clear reporting and collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to support daily operations and drive ongoing improvements.
Working closely with your Operations Manager, you’ll align on priorities, track performance, and help keep the wider operation moving forward.
What we offer you
- A competitive salary package, including a generous shift allowance, benchmarked on a 40-hour contract — while you’ll benefit from a shorter 35.7 hour working week
- A dynamic, fast-growing environment within a leading global logistics company
- Clear opportunities for career progression and personal development
- Access to GXO’s learning and development programmes to support your growth
- A collaborative, high-performance culture where your impact is visible
- A strong focus on wellbeing, safety, and work-life balance
What you’ll bring
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics, engineering, business, or a related field, plus solid experience leading warehouse or operations teams
- Proven experience managing people, including performance reviews, absence and case management, and coaching teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus), with the ability to engage, motivate, and work effectively with diverse teams
- A hands-on, can-do mindset — you take ownership, stay resilient under pressure, and focus on delivering results
- Confidence working with data, reports, and KPIs, with a good understanding of operational and financial performance
- Experience with, or interest in, continuous improvement methods such as LEAN, 5S, or Six Sigma
- Flexibility to work outside standard office hours, including in a rotating shift pattern
