Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO, we’re working together with Waitrose and are looking for Class 1 Driver with proven track record to join our team in Leyland. You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘Any 5 days out of 7’ pattern, contracted to 47.5hrs per week, with following start times available: 04:00 to 06:59, 16:00 to 18:59 or 22:00 to 00:59. Choose what suits you best!

As a Class 1 Driver, you’ll receive:

• An hourly rate of £17.00
• An additional £3.75 per hour, for hours worked between 18:00 and 22:00
• An additional £5.00 per hour, for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Complete trunking or multidrop deliveries depending on business needs
• On average complete 2 run outs of two deliveries per day
• Unload roll cages using a tail lift or back bench

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries essential
• A full UK driving licence with category C+E Entitlement       
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• An up to date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your own initiative
