Resource Planning Team Leader

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Resource Planning Team Leader to join our team in Lichfield supporting our customer Screwfix. This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00. However, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all.

We’re looking to offer a salary between £28,000.00 and £29,000.00, and 25-days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead mid and short-term workforce planning, ensuring alignment between forecasted volumes and available resources across the Lichfield site and retail network
- Coordinate holiday planning (including peak periods), maintain accurate records, and manage leave-related queries for both permanent and temporary staff
- Oversee the on-site planning team, maintain temporary headcount accuracy, and liaise with agency partners for shift coverage and recruitment needs regionally
- Contribute to daily and weekly performance reporting, labour model updates, and support financial and scenario modelling activities
- Drive process improvements, act as a key contact for senior management, and ensure clear communication of updates, challenges, and successes
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in leading a team is essential
- Experience in leading workforce coordination or planning within logistics, distribution, or manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage mid to short-term operational changes
- Familiarity with workforce systems (e.g., Kronos, Excel)
- Good communication and collaboration skills across departments
- Exposure to agency labor coordination and operational reporting is beneficial
