Warehouse Team Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager to support the operation within our Warehouse Team at our site in Lichfield. This is a chance to be part of a fast paced and challenging area of work to assist the Lead Team Manager in maintaining performance of the warehouse operations.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working on a rotating day shift pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 to 14:00and 14:00 to 22:00. However, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £32,000.00 and receive 33 annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Be Responsible for Health & Safety and the Environment during shift whilst ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Ensure co-ordination and handover management between shifts as well as resource availability and skilled trained resource
- Translate, analyse and deliver customer needs as well as deliver consistent service levels to exceed customer expectations
- Carry out effective leadership, management and communication with all warehouse departments
- Be responsible for ensuring high levels of excellence in culture and behaviours, treating employees with respect and promoting diversity, whilst supporting colleagues through excellent communication and active leadership
- Recognise and proactively manage continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all internal/ external KPIs are achieved and reviewed regularly
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Operational Experience, with knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- Excellent organisation/ time management, interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
- People Management including experience of disciplinary investigations and other people processes
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written) and able to interact at all levels and able work within a team
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Use of Microsoft Packages including Excel and Word with good analytical and numerical skills
