We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to lead our team at our Luton Airport site, Luton. You will be responsible for the safe management of the consolidation centre operation through effective colleague, equipment, and task management. Ensuing positive results in departmental performance in respect of health and safety, colleague output, commercial acumen and KPIs.
This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, 40 hours per week, with some flexibility required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £47,500.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Overall responsibility for the site function
- Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in goods receiving and despatching goods in line with the agreed schedule
- Management of legal and operational compliance for the department
- Organizing available resources to maximise effectiveness of the operation
- Management, control, and reporting of all costs, KPIs and operational statistics within budget
- Effective communication with the customer and internal colleagues
- Monitoring and maintaining all written security check records to ensure compliance, scheduling random checks and addressing any deficiencies that arise
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Management qualification min Level 4
- Commercial and financial awareness, including budgeting
- IOSH qualified – preferred
- Ability to develop a culture of continuous improvement and deliver change
- Reporting and presenting skills
- The ability to manage disciplinary, absence and grievance meetings
