Here at GXO, we’re looking for an experienced Driver Trainer to join our BT site in Lutterworth. If you’re passionate about road safety and enjoy teaching, we want you to help guide our drivers towards excellence.

 

You’ll join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 07:30 – 15:30, with some flexibility required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £39,575.88 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Assess candidates’ driving capability during the recruitment process, and developing drivers’ skills throughout their careers
  • Conducting driving assessments for new and existing drivers, including post-accident assessments
  • Facilitate agreed training requirements of colleagues with the Training department, for all operational depot equipment and maintain records accordingly
  • Ensure that the Driver Training Matrix is maintained in line with timescales and GXO policies and updating all relevant computer-based systems and hardware e.g. Tachomaster, Checkmaster, GXO RTITB training portal and Microsoft systems etc

 

What you need to succeed at GXO

 

  • Excellent driving skills and in-depth knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
  • Experience of delivering training to drivers
  • Excellent PC and system skills
  • PTLLS Qualified (desirable), other train the trainer qualifications may be accepted
  • An ability to adapt your teaching style to accommodate each learner
  • A valid C+E LGV Driving Licence and DCPC is essential
