Health & Safety Manager

Here at GXO, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the safety strategy at our Primark site in Lutterworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced, dynamic logistics environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the site is 100% safety compliant, leading the delivery of the site’s safety strategy and providing expert QHSE support to operational teams.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:30 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £48,000 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards
- Lead the creation and execution of the annual site Safety, Health & Environmental Management Improvement Plan
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring root causes are addressed and preventative actions are implemented
- Managed site safety documentation, audits, and reporting, including insurance and legal compliance
- Coordinate planned maintenance and ensure full understanding of fire, gas, electrical, and water systems
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong, proven experience in a QHSE role, ideally within a fast-paced, complex environment
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety (essential)
- Proven ability to lead change, manage policies, and deliver training
- Analytical mindset with strong hazard-spotting and problem-solving skills
