Here at GXO we are recruiting for a full time, permament, Site Manager to lead our BT contract, based in Magna Park, Lutterworth.  You will have full responsibility for the overall performance of the contract, ensuring operational productivity, service, people management and financial targets are met. You will also be involved in transformation projects providing strategic vision and leadership.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £70,000 per annum plus a generous monthly car allowance. In addition, we offer 22 days holiday, which accumulates with service, plus bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • You will have direct management of 7 Operational Managers, with a workforce of circa 350 staff overall, dependent on seasonal activity
  • You will manage all aspects of performance to ensure compliance within agreed KPI’s and, ensure the smooth running of warehouse operations, people, health and safety, associated systems and legislation
  • You will play a vital role in shaping the culture and approach of the workforce, supporting and developing your team through leadership, coaching, and communication
  • Focus on business excellence, transformation and continuous improvement of operational efficiency and customer service standards


What you need to succeed at GXO

  • A proven and resilient leader, you will need to demonstrate a record of accomplishment in running large operations  
  • Experience of managing multiple customer relation and P&L at a senior level
  • Excellent financial acumen and commercial awareness
  • Good knowledge of employment legislation, health & safety and all associated regulations
  • Excellent communicator with experience of manging a large workforce – union exposure would be advantageous
  • Understanding and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives
