Administrative Assistant (Part Time)

We are on the lookout for a sharp, organised, and proactive Administration Assistant to support our dynamic Demand Planning team for our Greene King contract. If you thrive on juggling tasks, keeping things running smoothly, and being the go-to person for all things admin—this could be your perfect next step!

This is a part time, permanent role, working a minimum of 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday and we are flexible on start and end times which is great in the logistics world that gives you your weekends back!

Please note that this role is initially based at Trafford Park but be aware that our site will be moving to Middleton in early 2026.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £15,951.00, based on 25 hours per week (£12.27 per hour) and 33 days annual leave (Pro Rata) (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Answer and manage the booking line and coordinate the goods-in diary across three depots
  • Close Purchase Orders and enter Goods Receipt Note (GRN) reference numbers into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Produce and distribute daily reports to the Demand Planning team and external customers
  • Draft and manage written announcements and communication emails to suppliers
  • Maintain and update the supplier contact list
  • Provide general administrative support to the management team

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:          

                                                               

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus
  • Experience with CRM or diary management software is advantageous
