We’re looking for a First Line Manager to join us at our JD Go Outdoors contract, at our multiuser site at Trafford Park, where you will lead a high performing team of flexible and engaged colleagues, focusing on delivering operational excellence at all times.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working on a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £29,000 per annum, plus an additional £3,386 per annum night shift premium. You’ll receive 20 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Carry out the day to day management of a team of warehouse colleagues, managing performance, setting KPI’s and driving continuous improvement
  • Ensure effective communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams on a daily basis
  • Focus on colleague development by implementing a consistent appraisal process
  • Take responsibilities for Health and Safety and lead by example in order to ensure consistent compliance

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
  • Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
