Health and Safety Manager

Here at GXO, we are looking for a full time permanent QHSE Manager to join us on our Greene King contract, based in Trafford Park, Manchester. You will be responsible for all things health and safety, creating a safe environment for each other in a supportive workplace, where people can thrive and return home from work as healthy as they arrived.

 

You will be working Monday to Friday consisting of 37.5 hours a week.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Monitor on-site health and safety using effective internal audits, risk assessments and regular training
  • Manage and monitor the implementation of all applicable quality, health, safety and environment policies and procedures
  • Review and create risk assessments and safe systems of work for all tasks carried out across the whole operation, including both warehousing and transport
  • Carry out regular and accurate QHSE-related reporting, feeding this back to the management team and wider site as part of the monthly health and safety meetings that you’ll lead

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced logistics distribution environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (essential) or Diploma (desirable)
  • Exposure to accident investigation, including full analysis and reporting
  • The ability and confidence to influence senior stakeholders on all aspects of health and safety
