A fantastic opportunity has opened for a talented and experienced individual for the role of Transport First Line Manager. In this role, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our driving team delivers a first-class professional delivery service to the Whitbread and Costa Coffee contracts. You will manage the driving team through an industry leading telematics system and a culture of continuous improvement. 

 

This role is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis. If successful, you will work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 06:00 – 18:00.

 

Pay, benefits and more:

 

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,000 per annum. Additionally, you will have 23 days annual leave including bank holidays. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Ensure that all drivers are compliant with WTD
  • Manage driver standards through telematics technology
  • Propose initiatives that will support cost reductions
  • Provide a safe and inclusive working environment for all employees

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in a transport environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • An ability to grow alongside and develop within a team dynamic
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
