Experience Business Support Manager required for our growing site in Mechelen.

 

You will be the link between our customer, customer service, GXO operations, and internal teams with a clear focus on quality, customer service and leadership,

 

You will ensure that processes and systems run smoothly, set up improvement projects to continuously optimize our services.

 

  • Monday – Friday flexible daytime working hours between 7am – 6pm
  • Based at our growing food site in Mechelen
  • Fluent in English and Dutch would be advantageous

 

Your role as a Business Support Manager:

  • You will be the central point of contact for our customer
  • Lead a team of 3 direct reports including Business Support Supervisor, Site Engineer and WMS Key User, and 5 indirect employees who report into the supervisor, ensuring a motivating working atmosphere
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives to structurally improve processes
  • In close cooperation with the operations manager, you will support operational issues, perform root cause analyses and implement sustainable solutions
  • Support team to improve reporting, KPI’s, optimize our WMS system and provide support to key user
  • Manage your projects with multidisciplinary teams (IT, Operations, Business)
  • You make daily operational decisions in consultation with the Site Manager and Operations Manager.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • A Bachelor's or master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or an equivalent field alternatively experience within the role
  • Previous experience in Logistics/Distribution/Production or similar warehouse environment is required
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Fluent in English, good knowledge of Dutch is a plus
  • A proactive, hands-on working style and the ability to support teams effectively
  • Self-starting ability: you take initiative and work independently to achieve goals
  • Excellent communication skills and the talent to strengthen relationships, both internally and externally
  • Experience with WMS systems and process optimization is a plus; affinity with IT is essential including Excel and Power BI
