Multi Tasking Warehouse Operative

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Multi-Task Warehouse Operative to join our team working in partnership with our customer in Motherwell.

 

You will be working on a full-timepermanent basis, on a 37 hour shift pattern. Start times are split between two shifts, 07:00 and 10:00, this is on a weekly rotation basis working Monday to Friday, however you will be contracted to work any 5 from 7 days when required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Accurately record all stock movements using both internal and customer WMS systems, ensuring precise data and documentation
  • Operate scanners, complete cycle counts, and conduct stock investigations to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Work safely and compliantly, supporting contractual KPIs and adhering to all Wincanton Health & Safety standards
  • Support overall site efficiency through general operational tasks, housekeeping, and high‑quality customer service
  • Demonstrate a proactive, flexible attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Strong customer service skills with effective communication, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Initiative-taking, flexible, and positive attitude, able to work independently, in a team, and adapt to frequent process changes
  • Confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office, Inventory Control systems, with accurate counting and quality‑checking capability
  • Flexible with shifts, able to train others, and experienced in fast‑paced warehouse environments (desirable)
  • Must maintain confidentiality and obtain full security vetting, including Disclosure Scotland clearance, due to work within the Defence/Naval Ships environment
  • A full UK driving licence and own transport is essential due to the location and flexibility to travel to, as and when required, to another facility based on the Clyde
