Context & Job Purpose

 

As Accounts Assistant, reporting to the Finance Team Leader, you will be a key support within our Accounting & Controllership Team.

 

Your tasks & responsibilities will work towards ensuring monthly close is delivered accurately, within the timeframe set by the business and adhering to SOx regulations.

 

You will be point of contact to the business for your given area of responsibility.

 

Working under your own initiative and as part of a wider team You will be required to work with the business and demonstrate a professional, articulate, and knowledgeable manner.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Transaction accounting.
  • Various journal postings.
  • Understand Key SOx controls relevant to your work.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with month end postings such as pre payments & accruals.
  • Support the Finance Team Leader as required.
  • Various other tasks and future projects.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Confident communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Be flexible & adaptable to suit the needs of the business.

 

Experience

  • Basic understanding of accounting, specifically double entry accounting.
  • Knowledge of SAP & Oracle Fusion is useful to this role.
  • Experience of working withing a similar role.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications Required

 

 

  • This role would suit somebody working towards a professional accounting/finance qualification.
