Context & Job Purpose

The Analyst will play a critical role within the Finance team, taking ownership of end-to-end accounting activities, performing detailed financial analysis, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance frameworks. Building on prior experience, this role involves managing complex accounting processes, delivering insightful reporting, and driving operational efficiencies.

The Analyst is expected to support various cross-functional initiatives, contribute to automation and process enhancements, and provide guidance to junior team members. This position is designed for individuals ready to take on broader responsibilities and advance within the Global Operations Support Centre (GOSC).

Key responsibilities

Accounting Operations

  • Independently manage key accounting processes including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.
  • Review and validate ledger entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Support preparation and posting of journals for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Perform detailed variance analysis and develop insights to support management reporting.
  • Prepare advanced financial reports, dashboards, and models using MS Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Provide analytical support for business cases, internal reviews, and management decision-making.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting, reporting, and systems-related queries.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of accurate financial information.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliverables in alignment with business needs.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Contribute to process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in testing, rollout, and stabilization of new financial systems, tools, and processes.

Project & Team Support

  • Support special projects requiring deeper analysis, data interpretation, and structured presentation.
  • Handle ad hoc requests from management and cross-functional teams.

 

Experience & Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent stakeholder collaboration and problem-solving skills.
