General Manager - Transformation & Change

Here at GXO Logistics, we’re currently searching for a General Manager of Transformation & Change to oversee two 750,000 sq ft buildings at site in Newark. In this role, you will lead the site to success, spearheading transformation initiatives in a customer-facing capacity and driving change management and automation implementation across our omnichannel operation.
This is a full time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, this is a 24/7 operation, so you’ll need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours – no two weeks are the same, this is logistics after all!

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £83,000 per annum, you’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Use a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational excellence and transformational change, delivering on GXO and Currys KPI’s and future proofing the site
- Work with the CI, MI and the planning teams, whilst also working closely with the site operational teams, to implement and deliver transformation & culture change across the whole contract, including warehouse, transport and regional distribution centres
- Ensure operations, planning & CI departments are aligned and have a clear plan underpinned by the site labour strategy and CI plan
- Deliver site briefings to showcase the site strategy, clearly outline the impact on the audience, promoting a one team, cross functional working culture with direct reports and key stakeholders on site
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in an open book, multi customer or e-comm environment
- An understanding of CI initiatives and automation improvements, with experience of delivering projects on time
- Experience of building strong working relationships with both internal and external customers and colleagues, you’ll be an effective influencer and communicator
- People focussed leadership skills, able to positively engage, develop and empower others
