Operations Manager

Here at GXO we have an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our multiuser site in Ollerton. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the senior leadership team in ensuring colleagues meet or exceed operational requirements for our customers. This will involve organising colleagues and supervising workload to meet targets and KPIs, within the agreed timeframe.
This is a full-time, permanent role, with a shift pattern Monday – Friday 8:00am-4pm. However, some flexibility on hours and days will be required. This is logistics, after all.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000. In addition, we offer 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Review and evaluate the warehouse plans daily making recommendations for changes as appropriate to ensure all KPI’s are achieved and improved upon
- To manage and control all warehouse operational areas and ensure customer satisfaction and KPI’s are achieved to maintain and improve effective relationships with the customer.
- To understand the operational elements of the site’s budget to ensure that operational costs are controlled, and that waste of time, money and unnecessary costs are minimised.
- To attend regular agency review with the site HRM to assess supplier performance V forecast and to assess areas for concern for the coming month / season or peak period.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience managing a fast-paced warehouse operation within a senior leadership role
- Understanding & demonstrable experience of managing an E-fulfilment Operation
- Ability to establish and manage continuous improvement initiatives, whilst driving efficiency
- Highly analytical and IT literate, with experience of WMS systems
